Speaker: Dr. Derek Thomas

Originally from Wales, Dr. Derek Thomas is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology and the Dean of Chapel at Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, Mississippi. Previously, he pastored for 17 years in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In addition to serving in the pastorate, Rev. Thomas has serviced as editor of the Evangelical Presbyterian, a monthly denominational magazine. He is currently preparing an article on the Eschatology of the Westminister Confession and Divines to be included in a commemorative volume on the Westminister Assembly. A graduate of RTS in 1978, he recently completed a Ph.D. degree at the University of Wales. He has authored the following publications: The Storm Breaks: Job Simply Explained; Wisdom: the Key to Living God's Way; God Strengthens: Ezekiel Simply Explained; God Delivers: Isaiah Simply Explained; Help for Hurting Christians; Serviing the King: a Guide to Christian Usefulness; and Taken up to Heaven.
